Below we explain the different steps so that you can use it on other devices:

1. Locate the file

Search for the file on your computer, USB stick, e-mail, in the cloud... or in the location where you saved it. If you don't have the file, try searching for it in your operating system's search engine, specifying the extensions: .p12 or .pfx.

If you still can't find it, you'll need to create a copy of the certificate using an export .

2. Transfer it to the new device

Once you have the file, transfer it to the device where you want to use it (by e-mail, by USB stick,...).

3. Install it on Windows

Double-click the file and then follow the steps in the wizard until it asks for a password. Here you will need to indicate the Download/Installation Code (password) that appears in the download or renewal email and on the delivery slip given to you by the Registration Entity.

We recommend that on this same screen, activate the box " Mark this key as exportable ", if you want to be able to export it in the future and make a copy of it.

Click "Next" at each step until you reach "Finish" and you will have the idCAT certificate installed in the Windows repository in Microsoft Edge and Google Chrome.

We recommend that you keep the file. p12 or .pfx as backup.

Next, if you want, you can check the operation of the idCAT Certificate.

3. Install it on MAC

To install the certificate, look for the file with the extension .p12 or pfx downloaded on your computer in the folder defined for downloads. Make sure you have the padlock icon listed in Keychains - Login open in order for the idCAT certificate to install correctly.

Then double-click the file and select from the drop-down Keys: Login and press the Add button to install the certificate.

During this process the system may ask you for two passwords: first the system administrator password and then the download code (password) that appears in the e-mail received or on the delivery slip.

Then access the Keys folder - Certificates tab - EC-ACC--> press "Get information" and once here, by expanding the Trust menu, it indicates Always trust it. By doing this the system will ask you for your MAC credentials.
