Yes, however, the identification process for obtaining the idCAT Certificate, provided for in article 7 of Law 6/2020, of November 11 (law regulating certain aspects of electronic trust services ) , establishes that a certificate can be issued in the name of a third party, provided that the signature of the application has been legitimized by a notary (this certifies that the signature corresponds to the person filling out the document).

The idCAT Certificate application form must be completed, printed from the browser option (Ctrl+P on Windows; Command/Cmd⌘+P on Mac) and taken to the reference notary in order to legitimize.

Once the appropriate procedures have been completed with the notary, it will be necessary to go in person to a Registration Entity idCAT to request the issuance of the digital certificate.
