The identification process for obtaining the idCAT Certificate, provided for in article 7 of Law 6/2020, of November 11 (law regulating certain aspects of trusted electronic services), establishes that a certificate can be issued in the name of a third party, provided that the signature of the application has been legitimized by a notary (this certifies that the signature corresponds to the person filling out the document).

The application form for the idCAT Certificate must be filled in, printed from the browser option and taken to the reference notary for legalization.

Once the appropriate procedures have been completed with the notary, it will be necessary to go in person to a Registration Entity idCAT to request the issuance of the digital certificate.
