The identification process for obtaining the idCAT Certificate, provided for in article 7 of Law 6/2020, of November 11 (law regulating certain aspects of trusted electronic services) , establishes that can issue a certificate on behalf of a third party, as long as the signature on the application has been legitimized by a notary (this certifies that the signature corresponds to the person filling out the document).
The idCAT Certificate application form must be completed, printed from the browser option (Ctrl+P on Windows; Command/Cmd⌘+P on Mac) and taken to the reference notary in order to legitimize.
Once the appropriate procedures have been completed with the notary, it will be necessary to go in person to a Registration Entity idCAT to request the issuance of the digital certificate.
